We all love sport. Watching, playing, enjoying a tin with the team after. Balter has always been a fan of that enjoyment, whether it’s pouring beer at the Australian Open, sipping a Captain Sensible at the footy or cracking an LPA after a game of padel.

But we love to play too. 

It goes beyond Mick and many of the founders being professional athletes. It goes beyond golf days or friendships with the likes of Ash Barty. 

It’s about playing sport purely for a good time. 

A bunch of the Balter crew have a soccer team. So when they went and got a run of jerseys made up for the team, it was a natural thing. A bit of fun. 

Then others saw them and were like ‘can I get one of those?!’.

We decided why not?! And why not add some more gear in the mix too. 

So we contacted the gang at Rallee down in Byron Bay to see if we could do a full range together. We knew they did amazing stuff, so it was an easy win. If you haven't come across Rallee yet, they’re an apparel crew turning out functional gear for "sinners and set winners". Founded by Pat Rafter alongside James Gourley and Dave Keam, they blend high-performance tech, the best materials with style that doesn't stop at the baseline. Their brand ethos is literally "Tennis, Beer, Music, Mates, Good Times". Pretty much the perfect match for us. 

When asked to help create something that's no fuss yet still in high-performance material, they showed up with their A-Game (pardon the ridiculous sports pun). 

Drawing on proven designs, they helped us make something very sport yet very Balter. Not stuffy or obsessed with the rules. The soccer jersey is in there, of course. Alongside shorts, tees and tanks. For when you're leaving competitors in the dust on the padel court, chipping a birdie with your eyes closed, or firmly planted on the sidelines with a stance that screams confidence.
