On Saturday we transformed our Taproom Beer Garden into a Colosseum for Beer Gladiators as they went head to head in the 2022 Tins of Glory World Tinnie Hurling Championships. The atmosphere on the night was electric, MCG-like if you will, with an absolute nail biter of a final that went down a little something like this…

After the finalists tied in the best of three, we went to a sudden death shoot off (the equivalent of a penalty shootout at the soccer World Cup). One member from each team stepped up to the table with $20K on the line. The music was turned off and the room fell silent in anticipation. The boys from ‘So Buddery’ put up a strong front, landing a respectable 3 points. It was then that Corrine from ‘Don’t Worry Beer Hoppy’ blew the roof off the joint landing her tin in the orange zone nailing a 5 point hurl.

We were so stoked to learn that Corrine and her Tinnie Hurling partner Ross are engaged and will be putting their winnings towards their wedding and honeymoon. Plus, we’ll be donating $10K to @loveyoursister an incredible charity chosen by Ross and Corrine that is committed to vanquishing cancer with hard science and the best new technologies.

We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd or a better night. Thank you to all the athletes who dressed up and fiercely battled it out for glory, and to all of the supporters who came down and lit the place up.
